Proposal of local bias estimation for forward modeling  Reconstruction in the BAO Peak analysis

Sebastien Fromenteau, Instituto de Ciencias Físicas, UNAM

Cosmology infers the Universe's properties from astrophysical tracers statistics. However, theory allows us to model the compressed statistics (particularly the 2-pt correlation function and Power Spectrum) of the Cold Dark Matter while we observe 'normal matter' tracers like the galaxies. Due to the complexity of astrophysical processes, galaxies (and other objects) are biased and incomplete tracers of the Cold Dark Matter field. I will introduce the usual way this bias is treated before attempting to propose an alternative using a more astrophysical approach, allowing us to take into account a local information. Finally, I will give an example of a concrete application with the forward modeling of galaxy reconstruction in the Baryonic Acoustic Oscillations Peak measurement.
