In this work, we estimated the chemical abundances in NGC 346 through the direct method, obtaining the physical parameters such as temperature and density using intensity ratios. Using IRAF we estimated the ionic abundances for nine ionic species. We obtained the He + abundance for the recombination line ratios. To obtain the total chemical abundances we used an Ionization Correction Factor (ICF) for each element. Our estimate is compared with the previous works for NGC 346 and SMC. Finally we estimated the primordial helium using our He/H and O/H abundances.
