Expectations for Run 3 with the CMS detector

Dra. María Isabel Pedraza Morales, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla

In this talk, we will delve into a comprehensive review of groundbreaking CMS experimental results arising from proton-proton (pp) collisions at 13 TeV, as facilitated by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and documented by the CMS detector during the period of Run II. This session encapsulates a decade-long journey of Higgs analysis, elucidating our current understanding of CMS cross-section measurements and the unique interactions of Higgs bosons with charm quarks. Building on the foundations of established physics, we explore intriguing hints of new physics phenomena intertwined with the Higgs boson. Diving deeper, we'll discuss the outcomes of recent high-profile physics searches, including paired dijet resonances. Attendees will gain insight into the challenges faced, the breakthroughs achieved, and the potential discoveries that lay just beyond the horizon of our current scientific understanding.
