"A worldline approach to QCD amplitudes"

The worldline formalism is an alternative approach, to
conventional quantum field theory techniques (second
quantization), to the calculation of Feynman diagrams by
means of the path-integral quantization of simple particle
models, and is particularly suitable in the presence of
external fields. In this seminar, we start deriving the
main rules of the formalism for the simple case of scalar
QED, and then move to a relativistic particle model coupled
to nonabelian gauge fields, that represents a worldline
approach to QCD. Here we employ auxiliary fields to
implement the path-ordering needed for gauge-covariance,
and we show how to compute tree-level and one-loop
amplitudes.
