"QCD tales: quarks and pions"

Dr. José Rodríguez-Quintero Universidad de Huelva, España

I will review some recent works where, with the help of non-perturbative methods for the investigation in QCD as lattice field theory or Dyson-Schwinger equations, the effects from the number of light-fermion flavours on gluon and quark propagation are scrutinized. Conclusions about QCD chiral symmetry restoration and confinement will be inferred. I will also present a recent study for the pion parton distributions (PDF and GPD), again, exploiting the  non-perturbative Dyson-Schwinger and Bethe-Salpeter approaches to get a simple but instructive model, as a first step paving the way towards a better understanding of hadron dynamics from QCD.
