Thermal dynamics in general relativity and the inertial properties of heat

In this talk I will present a variational formalism for relativistic thermodynamics. The dynamics will be used to propose a constitutive equation for heat conduction. Finally, I will present some examples of the thermal properties of some simple exact solutions.
